A yeast diaper rash is certainly not something that anyone would like to have, so when your baby has a diaper rash, it needs to be taken care of as quickly as possible. There are some home remedies that can be used to help get rid of the rash.
Start out by taking a washcloth that has been dipped into warm water and a mild soap and gently clean the infected area. Take a dry towel and gently blot dry the area. Using a hair dryer on its coolest setting and constantly keep it moving over the rash will also help dry the area quickly. After the diaper has been removed, let your baby lie in an area without another diaper for at least 30 minutes each day. When you bathe your baby, adding a cupful of oatmeal to the warm water will also help.
After the 30 minutes has expired, before you place your babies diaper back on, you may sprinkle the area with some cornstarch. Then place some Desitin on the area followed by some Vaseline.

A yeast rash can also be found present in a babies mouth which is known as thrush. Thrush is a white coating of bumps inside the babies mouth and tongue. So it is best to treat any infected area as soon as possible.
These are just a few of the home remedies that may be used to help get rid of the diaper rash. Please keep in mind that any severe diaper rash that is still present after four days or appears to be infected needs to be seen by your pediatrician.
