Cause and Cure For Pityriasis Rosea

Pityriasis Rosea Skin Rash is a common skin disease or in other words we can say it is a skin disorder. The rashes can last for several weeks to several months. All though the appearance varies from person to person, the patches are in oval shape.

  1. Mycoplasma – Mycoplasma is a genus of bacteria that does not have a cell wall. Since no cell wall is present, Mycoplasma are not affected by common antibiotics like penicillin or beta-lactam antibiotics since they target cell wall synthesis.
  2. Picovirus
  3. Human Herpes Virus Type 7 – Human herpes virus type 7 (HHV-7) is associated with unspecific febrile syndrome, exanthem subitum (ES), viral rashes and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) like syndrome.

Cure for Pityriasis Rosea

No cause known. No cure that works perfectly. Some dermatologists believe that the sunlight – artificial or natural can help healing. Some use menthol to 0.25% in a cream (base) containing a local anesthetic (pramoxine) to reduce itching. Best thing is consult your doctor.
